They're a small company based in Pittsboro that provides an open source network management solution. Their software is under the GPL so all their money comes from services. They started up in 2002 and have been profitable that entire time. From what I understand, they've been approached by VCs but have so far turned them all down (although, I know they were considering it a few times).
